Our superb orthopaedic team is made up of four members who are integral to providing a trusted orthopaedic surgery referral service at Swift Referrals.

At Swift Referrals, not only do we have high-spec state-of-the-art equipment, but our team also have the expertise, knowledge, and experience to provide an exceptional orthopaedic surgery referral service. With over 30 years of combined experience in the field and having treated hundreds of patients, the team uphold an excellent reputation.

The recent introduction of our fixed priced surgery for several procedures and surgical guarantee means that referring vets and clients are provided with peace of mind, this is complimented further by our excellent patient aftercare. Our 24-hour out-of-hours service allows for close monitoring of patients, promotes continuity of care and ensures each patient’s individual needs are catered for without delay.

Our ethos is to constantly drive improvements, the notion we collectively and fondly refer to is ‘what is excellent today must develop if it's still going to be excellent tomorrow’. We recognise that veterinary care is constantly evolving with rapid developments seen in both veterinary medicine and technology. Meet our Exceptional Orthopaedic Surgery Team

Bob Pettit, Orthopaedic Veterinary Surgeon, qualified from Edinburgh in 1997 and then went on to work in mixed practices in Lockerbie and Skipton. Bob developed a key interest in orthopaedic surgery following this and went to work in a referral centre and then on to being a partner in a local practice. Bob has 16 years of experience in referral practice and his main interest include fractures, arthroscopy, angular limb and spinal surgery.

Outside of work Bob enjoys cycling, fly fishing, walking in the dales with his family, cricket and occasionally playing cricket (badly, he says!).

Andrea Geraci, Orthopaedic Veterinary Surgeon. Andrea graduated from University of Bologna in 1998, shortly after relocating to the UK. Andrea has spent the last 13 years working in an orthopaedic and neurology hospital. His main interests include fracture surgery, 3D printing  and spinal surgery. Outside of work Andrea spends time riding his “unreliable” Ducati.

Jo Smith, RVN and Surgical Team Leader. Jo qualified in 2006 and soon developed a keen interest in surgery. Jo’s main interest is challenging anesthesia cases and has recently passed her certificate in anaesthesia and analgesia.

Outside of work Jo enjoys spending time with her family and her new addition Cooper an English Spring Spaniel.

Cammi Brown-Nolan, Senior Orthopaedic Nurse. Cammi graduated as a nurse in 2020. Cammi enjoys the busy working environment of a referral hospital and enjoys all aspects of her role but has a particular interest in surgery.

Outside of work Cammi enjoys competing her horses, baking (which all the team love!) and spending time with her pets.
